Asian Da Brat Shares "UNFUCCWITABLE" Project
Asian Da Brat — the artist formerly known as Asian Doll — has a new project to go along with her new name. The Gucci Mane protégé has dropped UNFUCCWITABLE as her first release since rebranding.
The 14-track project includes her Smokepurpp-assisted single “Draco,” which arrived in April. Asian Da Brat’s latest work also features tracks with Lil Durk, Smooky MarGielaa, Stunna 4 Vegas, Calboy, PnB Mean and Yung Mal.
Best known for her association with Gucci Mane (as well as being confused for the other “Dolls” in the rap game), the Dallas-born 1017 Records’ first lady Asian Doll has officially changed her name to Asian Da Brat.
The new moniker owes its origin to Atlanta-based veteran Da Brat, the first female rapper to release a platinum-certified album with 1994’s Funkdafied.
To commemorate the name change, Asian Da Brat has announced her upcoming mixtape UNFUCCWITABLE (also the name of a Lady of Rage song) with guest appearances from Lil Durk, Calboy, Smooky Margielaa, Stunna4Vegas, Yung Mal, PNB Meen and Smokepurpp, whose inclusion comes with a story stocked with hijinks.
“Me and Purpp was on tour with Gucci Mane in Salt Lake City. I was heading to the studio and Purpp got kicked out of his hotel, so I told him to pull up. We went back and forth in the booth and knocked it out. That’s my bro for real. Record came out hard as hell,” she said of “Draco, the album’s first single.
